I ordered the BYOB (build your own breakfast) which consists of a croissant, sausage, scrambled eggs and soy balsamic mushrooms. I also ordered a matcha latte which is not pictured (it was alright).
Unfortunately, it was not too obvious that the menu was refreshed. Many of the dishes my partner and I would like to try such as the pesto pasta and amber breakfast are off the menu. Secondly, the breakfast was lackluster. The scrambled eggs were not creamy, more grainy and bland. The mushrooms tasted herbal which surprised me. Perhaps the cooking style does not suit the soy balsamic marinade. The sausage was tough to chew through and bland. The croissant was alright.
My partner ordered the iced chocolate which he said tastes like watered down Milo.
If you would like a quiet place to just have a drink or do your work, I would recommend this place as it was rather peaceful away from the crowd.
Attentive staff with good service. Went there with my friend to have our brunch and coffee. The anti smashed avo was delicious with nice platting ! The sourdough bread is the best sourdough I have ever had, it is very soft unlike other places’ is very hard to chew. The combination of the smashed avo, sweet chilli sauce and bread was great too. The V60 with ethiopia beans recommended by the barista tastes smooth and fruity which really suit my taste. After finish the coffee, I ordered second cup of V60 with Rwanda beans which was quite tasty as well but is a bit sour to me.
Will return again to try their other food and coffee.
Popped in on a weekday afternoon and the crowd were mostly working remotely or having work meetings/discussions. Simple cafe fare, well presented and decent portions. Love the open faced scrambled egg toast with metaiko, drizzled with a tart tonkatsu sauce and furikake sprinkles. Needed meat so added on sausage and bacon.
Waffle is not the crusty light sort, more chewy and filling. Batter was tad bland but probably coz it's meant to be served with peanut butter, syrup and granola bits. The ice cream was way too sweet. Strawberries had an odd chemical aftertaste. Their other pistachio option served with yogurt would have been a better option but has a longer wait time. Thick hojicha reminded me of Hvala. Would go back for the toast.
Service is pretty amazing, they even noticed that my knife dropped to the floor, and bring replacement right away even during busy period.
Food wise, tater tots are great (sharing portion).
For big breakfast, maple butter and sour dough is great, pork sausage is bland. The rest are decent.
found this place when we went to 28mm studios (directly opposite)
Very pretty place. Thought it would be quite quiet as it is quite secluded but it was pretty crowded!
Ordering was easy QR-accessible. The coffee is nice, I got the white cold shoulder and it taste quite nice. Iced Mocha tasted okay too.
Food wise, not the hottest. Lukewarm at most which was pretty strange. The pesto(?) pasta was average, the cheese is unmelted, was quite disappointing. The vege that goes along with it was nice though.
The tater tots was nicer, but not as hot as I would liked.
Overall a good try, but very unlikely would return.
Staff are polite.
Very cute place that’s quite tucked away (?) - not the usual spot you’d expect for a cafe. Might not be the most convenient commute-wise, but it was still worth the trip. Really enjoyed the pasta and the curried mentai egg mayo - definitely want to go back to try the other menu items!
Staff were super friendly and chill too.
Great food with very aesthetic and calming ambience. Came at 11am on a Saturday, not too crowded. Service was rly fast and food came within 10 mins! The staff were really friendly and prompt too 🥰 thank you for the hospitality!
Brunch-ed here. 4pax. Pretty good.
Not too crowded on a saturday morning. Coffee's decent.
Good to chill and have brunch.
1. Both pastas are pretty good.. we had the tom kha (tom yam flavoured) and a miso butter flavoured one.
Delicious. The miso one was sliggggghtly oily (mouthful of oil) towards the end so have it right when its served...
2. Build-your-own-breakfast: mushrooms are alittle more vinegrettery...but i like it. Creates a different level of taste in ur mouth between bites.
The croissants... very good.
3. Tater tots: must order to share. Very good.
